What is the difference between a Fiber laser and CO2 cutting?

Differences between technologies
Przyjrzyjmy się trochę bliżej zasadom działania obu technologii:- gas laser (carbon dioxide)– the machine uses CO2 gas, but its activation requires the use of electricity, causing the vibrations of individual atoms,
- Fiber laser (fiber optic) – as the name suggests, the key role is played by fiber optic components, from which light is reflected, transformed in the last stage into a beam for metal processing. We have described this topic in more detail in a separate article explaining how the Fiber laser works.
The use of both technologies
Różnice w konstrukcji oraz zasadzie działania poszczególnych urządzeń przekładają się na rodzaj materiałów, które można przy ich pomocy poddawać obróbce:- CO2 – a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials, as well as plastics, including glass, wood, stone, leather, stainless steel, aluminum, rubber and even black steel.
- Fiber– a similar range of metallic materials and plastics, including all coated and ordinary metals, as well as polycarbonate, polyamides or polypropylene.
